The Lake

I live by a small lake and every once in a while we will hike a trail to get there. My girls love to feed the ducks there and it gives us all a little exercise. This last time I decided to take the camera with me.

Audrey

I was sitting in church and this sweet little girl caught my eye. I had to capture those big blue eyes. I was really glad her mom let me use her for practice. She had such a fun personality.

Torturing My Kids

I found this great lady on facebook that sells cutesy girl things. I decided to get a few things for photo props and the girls were dying to take pictures so they could wear them. Unfortunately, Claire had busted her lip the night before I had they photoshoot planned, so we waited a couple of days. Then it got hot and the girls were miserable being dragged around. I even made them hike a trail for the fairy pictures. I am such a mean mom. But they looked so cute.

Dodgers Baseball

I love the Dodgers. I have been a big fan of Dodger games for a long long time now. We try to fit in at least one game a year, especially now with our girls. Here are a few pictures from the night.

4th of July Fireworks

I was really excited to try pictures of fireworks this year. I've been wanting to try it for a while, but we really only get fireworks once a year in this town. So I brought along my tripod with me. It took a lot of tries to get the setting right. Here are a few of the best ones.

Welcome Baby Tyler

One of my long time favorite families, The Donovan's, welcomed a new baby boy into their family. It was fun to take Tyler's pictures. He is so so tiny.

Playing at the Beach

I decided to take my girls to the beach and thought it would be fun to get a few pictures of them splashing in the waves while we were there. We went early in the morning and beat the sun to the beach. It was overcast for an hour or so after we got there, which made it easy for me. We walked to the end of the beach where there were caves, rocks and tidepools and I didn't need to worry about anyone walking through my pictures. Azure enjoyed modeling for me, but Claire kept screaming and running away from the waves, crying that they were going to get here. I was only able to get a couple of pictures of her and she looked so concerned about the water coming to her. It was a fun morning for us.
