Monica's Luau

My sister in law had her 17th birthday party while we were there. They had swimming and a bbq. My favorite part( which made for awesome pictures) were the tiki torches. They make such unique shapes with the way they flicker and shine.

Toward the end of the week, I went with my two sisters in law and shot a few images of them at the park. It was a lot of fun and very easy since they are such pretty girls.

Salt River

While visiting family, we took the kids to the Salt River. It was a beautiful day and getting warm and the water was nice and cool to the touch. The girls loved to splash and throw rocks and I loved the different colored rocks scattered on the edge of the water.

Mesa Childrens Museum

On our third day in Mesa, we took the girls to the Mesa Children's Museum. It is a small museum, but it has a lot of fun things to do. One of my favorite parts is the play place on one side for the younger kids. It's fashioned with art supplies to make the buildings. The girls loved all the hands on things they could do and I loved that it was indoors in the air conditioning.

Phoenix Zoo

Last week, my family and I went on a little vacation to Mesa, AZ to see family. While we were there, we took the girls to the zoo. I have to say that although the tiger is my favorite animal, I'm really starting to love Giraffes. Because they are so tall, I found it easy to take pictures of them without cages or bars in my way.
